Today was a day filled with heavy hearts here at Harelson. The students and I spent some time focusing on all the things we are grateful for in life, and I was amazed at how insightful these wonderful young ladies and gentlemen were in regards to this weekend’s tragedy. I was so thankful to see their sweet smiles at the door this morning. I am so blessed to have the chance to teach your amazing children.
FOOD DONATIONS:
The Harelson family would like to help our community in this time of tragedy and need. We will be collecting food for the food bank over the next week or so. Please send in donations if you would like to help out! The food bank was one of Congresswoman Gifford’s favorite local charities.
SCIENCE FAIR: The Science Fair project due date of February 14th is coming up fast. Please help make sure your child is staying on top of his/her project and not waiting until the last minute. Displays will be put up in the Funhouse on the following day (Feb. 15th).
FIELD TRIP:
Our“Trip Back in Time” to Tubac is Thursday, February 17th. All students (and adults) must be dressed in period clothing (think "Little House on the Prairie"), so start thinking about a costume. All chaperones must be dressed in period costume as well. The chaperone list is full, and I already have a waiting list. Please let me know if you will no longer be able to attend so I can let others go! If you have not yet paid your field trip fees via check or tax credit, please send it in ASAP!
